Your new role
Due to the ever-expanding workload, your new company are looking for an experienced technician to work closely with their Senior Civil Engineer and support the highly skilled friendly teams in Bath and London. The role is highly varied, and no two days are the same. You will thrive solving engineering problems and working on a range of projects. You will work closely with our Project Engineers to ensure the best possible outcomes for the clients. Much of the work is drainage, but they are looking to expand the civil team to encompass work that is civils lead.
What you'll need to succeed
You will be self-motivated, proactive, and enthusiastic and want to learn quickly about the business. You will need to be an effective team player, have a professional attitude, show respect for the views of others and be supportive of other team members. You will need to have good written and spoken communication skills and committed to using your design flair to propose a range of solutions to clients and have an awareness and interest in environmental design. You will also need to be able to solve civil engineering problems, using creative, imaginative engineering, be experienced in producing high quality sketches and have understanding of or be keen to develop understanding and knowledge of BIM Level 2 Standards. You'll be highly literate in relevant IT packages including a thorough understanding of AutoCAD, possess or be keen to develop knowledge of Civil 3D (or similar) and MicroDrainage. You'll possess an understanding of relevant legislation and codes relating to civil engineering projects. You will be able to work with and help develop relevant skills in others.

You will be based in the vibrant office in Central Bath. You will be rewarded with a competitive salary of up to £35,000 and all salaries are reviewed annually.
