Principal Flood Risk & Drainage Engineer job in Bristol, Civil Engineering, Civil Infrastructure Engineer

Your new company
Your new company is a small but dynamic and ambitious transport and infrastructure engineering consulting practice. They work predominantly in the development planning sector, providing a range of transport planning, traffic engineering and infrastructure design services to support development proposals throughout the UK. Due to an ever increasing workload across the breadth of services that they offer, the Bristol office are now looking to appoint a Principal Flood Risk & Drainage Consultant to join the team.

Your new role
In your new role you will be undertaking flood risk, hydraulic modelling and drainage work for a variety of companies throughout the UK, mainly private sector. You will be given the opportunity to work on rural agricultural, residential and commercial flood risk schemes. You will also be involved with drainage design and advice plus undertaking flood map challenge work. Your new role will also include developing and winning new work in flood risk and drainage sectors.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be experienced and have some expertise in the provision of Flood Risk Management assessments and reporting along with drainage design. This will include some experience with MicroDrainage. You should also have some experience of taking technical lead, managing and delivering a wide range of projects in flood risk and drainage, through site visits, modelling and related analytical work on contracts to the satisfaction of the customer and within time and the budget constraints agreed. You will need to be comfortable with project management and should have some experience of winning work. Hydraulic modelling and sustainable drainage design experience (SuDS) is also required.

What you'll get in return
You'll be offered a competitive salary of between £34,000 - £45,000 plus additional benefits including a company pension scheme, health care and a share scheme. You will be entitled to 25 days holiday plus all bank holidays and a parking space will be available.
