Leeds is one of the fastest growing cities in the UK and is undergoing significant change with substantial levels of growth and investment.  A well maintained Highway Network is crucial to this continued success.

The Bridges Section has a full and varied programme of works and is now seeking capable, enthusiastic and self-motivated professionals to work within teams in one or more of the following areas:

Design, procurement and construction supervision of a variety of bridge maintenance and strengthening schemes;

Inspection and assessment of a variety of highway structures;

Asset Management of the Authority’s highway structures including bridges, tunnels, culverts, mast arms, gantries and retaining walls;

Management of inspection, assessment, design, procurement and construction work outsourced to the Authority’s external provider.

These are permanent appointments and will be based in the newly refurbished St George House in Leeds City Centre.

All new Leeds City Council appointments are made subject to the satisfactory completion of a six month probationary period.
