Job Details

A renowned multi-disciplinary consultancy is opening a new office in Cambridge and they are therefore looking for an Associate Director to head up their Infrastructure team.

This is a unique opportunity and the successful candidate will need to be self-motivating and proactive, driving expansion of existing areas and maximising new sector opportunities.

Minimum qualification: Bachelor of Engineering - either civil, structural or equivalent. At Associate Director level you will be expected to have achieved Chartered status with either ICE or ISTructE.

A capable all round engineer is required, with excellent Business Development skills - actively pursuing new opportunities, winning work and proactively developing existing and new clients relationships.

Requirements:

  • Able to develop fee proposals and contract reviews
  • Able to ensure all client's scope of works are clearly understood by all involved in the project
  • Undertake project coordination, representing the company at project meetings
  • Produce project invoices
  • Oversee cost control

On the technical side, your will be responsible for:

  • Directing delivery of concept design and delivery
  • Ensure you lead by example - directing the team to achieve technical excellence
  • Ensure deliverability of a diverse range of projects within the infrastructure environment
  • Collaborating with all teams to ensure growth of the business
  • Ensuring all relevant Codes and Standards relating to rail and highway design are adhered to
  • Meeting tight project deadlines

As an Associate Director of Infrastructure it is anticipated that you will have a minimum of 15 years' relevant experience, at least 5 being within a leadership role. You should be able to demonstrate development and implementation of organisational policies and procedures whilst winning work and meeting targets.

A large part of your role will be to manage a team, and you should be able to demonstrate strong leadership skills.
