Working in the Central London area for a consultancy at the forefront of the market earning £40k - £60k
Your new company
Your new company are looking to strengthen their Engineering Technology team by appointing an Associate Chartered Engineer. To be based principally in the Central London Area (Zone 1). You will be joining team that is very close knit and are very technically focused, whose aim is to provide solutions to complex problems. There is a demand for an analytically focused, practically minded Engineer, Structural Engineering background, who is looking for a challenge. You will join a forward thinking team, working in a collaborative environment, and will be given opportunities to make real contributions to major engineering projects.
Your new role
You will be delivering multiple projects or parts of larger projects to completion, within cost budget and to programme. While doing this you will also be ensuring the provision of efficient and high quality engineering services, to a high level of quality assurance. On projects you will be the first point of contact for clients, contractors, design team and third parties while also offering support and guidance to more junior members of the team meaning you will have to be effectively managing your own time. This should allow you to build client and internal relationships and help identify business opportunities.
What you'll need to succeed
You will need an Honours Degree in Structural Engineering while also having achieved your Chartership. As well as being able to take to account the consideration of the loading and structural response in the analysis, structural engineering and design of major facilities. You will need practical experience of reinforced concrete design and RC detailing of complex reinforced concrete structures, to British Standards. Ideally have proven experience on providing analytical solutions using applicable design software. You require an experience, and a want to, technically lead and collaborate within a technically orientated team.
