If you are a competent AutoCAD user and have experience producing drawings for roads or drainage schemes, then this is the perfect role for you to being working towards your EngTech qualification and become proficient with the most current software packages.

Conrad Consulting can now offer the opportunity for a Civil Technician to join a leading consultancy in Glasgow, where you will receive industry leading training to allow you to use the most advanced design packages such as Civil 3D and WinDes Microdrainage.

THE COMPANY

You will be joining a privately-owned consulting engineer with over 100 employees in Scotland. They have a long history and have become a household name in the Civil and Structural Engineering market throughout the UK.

THE ROLE

You will work within the Infrastructure Development team, which is currently 6 strong in Glasgow, who are responsible for the design and production of drawings for the associated Civils works on building developments.

THE PROJECTS

You will work on a variety of developments including residential, commercial, healthcare, education, industrial/manufacturing and more.

Along with industry leading training, you will work closely with a Senior Civil Technician and a Chartered Engineer who will assist with your professional development, ensuring you progress towards EngTech in a timely fashion.

Internal promotion is actively encouraged and will allow you to pick a career path and work towards clear goals with your mentors assistance.

ABOUT YOU

  • HNC/HND Civil Engineering or related subject
  • Proficient with AutoCAD
  • The ability to use Civil 3D, PDS or WinDes would be an advantage but not essential
  • Willingness to learn and develop your technical skills
  • Some experience working for a consulting engineer is required either on roads, drainage or rail
