Clerk of Works

A Clerk of Works is required by this leading independent civil and structural consultancy .You should have experience in both new-build and refurbishment projects. Your duties will include undertaking regular inspections of construction works to monitor progress, verifying compliance with specifications, warranty standards and employer’s requirements, identifying discrepancies, preparing written reports with supporting photographs at weekly intervals and organising snagging and “end of defects” inspections with the client in attendance.

The company was established over fifty years ago, they offer building structures, civil engineering, surveying, clerk of works, environmental and mechanical & electrical expertise.  Their work is predominantly Hertfordshire & Essex encompassing commercial, residential, re-generation, healthcare, arts and educational facilities. They frequently provide integrated multidiscipline designs for clients and have received a number of industry awards for engineering innovation.

You should have a site engineering or site management experience, or have moved into a supervisory position from a building trades background. A valid CSCS card and UK driving license are essential.
