Chartered Structural Engineer (Design Delivery)

A senior structural engineer looking for more project delivery responsibility is required by one of London's leading independent consulting engineers. They are recognised as a quality employer that develops and rewards its staff. The firm is multi-discipline with building structures at the centre of their operations, alongside are civil engineering, environmental and mechanical & electrical disciplines.  You will be joining a project team of twenty-five engineers and technicians working on commissions valued up to £200m in value. Your work will be UK wide with an emphasis on projects in London and the South East encompassing commercial, retail, re-generation, healthcare, arts and educational facilities. They frequently provide integrated multidiscipline designs for clients that include leading developers and architects who require a high level of technical expertise, they have received many industry awards for engineering innovation and excellence.

With the support of an associate and principal engineer you will have an involvement in schemes from client consultation stage through to completion. This will include scheme design, design production, assisting with fee negotiations, programming work and project delivery. There will be regular meetings with clients and occasional site visits.  You will often work closely with your peers from other disciplines to provide fully co-ordinated designs. Your experience should include steel and concrete design and ideally some knowledge of masonry and timber design.
