Lead Technical Experts - Engineer/Scientist

This role would suit a professional engineer or scientist with a lively mind who really enjoys an intellectual challenge and working with like-minded colleagues.
The BBA is seeking to employ three very experienced professional (chartered) engineers/scientists who have worked in the construction products market who understand and have used BBA certificates extensively. Our experts would be very familiar with a range of product standards and building regulations and they may have sat on committees defining new regulations.
We are looking for individuals who can demonstrate expertise in the areas of civil and structural engineering, and/or materials durability, and/or fire safety and building physics, and who are comfortable with computer simulations and analysis.
The role will involve reviewing both existing and new certificates. Individuals will be lead members of the Technical Oversight Group and will provide technical input and professional advice to colleagues within the business.
Individuals will be based in our offices in Mann Island, Liverpool, and home working is possible. Microsoft Teams video conferencing is used on a regular basis to communicate with colleagues to reduce the amount of time travelling and CO2 emissions.
Individuals will have a passion for detail and enjoy working from first principles in structural/civil/geo/mechanical engineering and material science. Our experts will uphold our key values of courage and integrity. They will have exceptional written and communication skills.
Individuals will report to the Chief Scientific Officer and have free and unfettered access to the Director of Technical Excellence to deliver these important corporate goals.
