Associate Structural Engineer

We have an opportunity for an Associate Structural Engineer to join one of the world's most prestigious and major names in multi-disciplinary engineering services.

The role offers the successful candidate a career working on some of the most exciting and challenging engineering projects around the globe.

They are looking for a talented Associate Structural Engineer who is as comfortable interfacing with clients and contractors as they are working on detailed designs in the office.

You must be Chartered; they will consider either MIStructE or MICE, and will have a good number of years' experience in London under your belt.

Requirements:

• Chartered within ICE or IStructE, ideally with five years' post-chartership experience,
• Expertise in the design of underground structures, ideally underground railway stations,
• Conversant in the use of appropriate codes of practice, standards, in particular Eurocodes,
• Experienced in the use of design and analysis software,
• Conversant in design safety/environmental requirements, procedures and responsibilities,
• Must have an extensive range of buildings structures design experience from different sectors,
• Ability to train and mentor junior engineers where appropriate,
• Confident client-facing with strong communication skills,
• Experience of working in a small to medium UK consultancy, ideally.

Your CV will demonstrate a career in structural engineering with a particular focus on design and management of various buildings projects, and your technical skills should include up to date knowledge of relevant codes and statutory consents.

A level of commercial awareness is desirable, as the successful Chartered Structural Engineer will be involved in producing bids.
