Principal Civil Engineer

Principal Civil Engineer working for a well established consultancy located in Salford Quays.

Your new company
Your new company is well known multi disciplinary consultancy who are located in Salford Quays. They operate in a number of different sectors working on industrial, pharmaceutical, power and commercial projects. A well known name in the industry they work with a number of blue chip clients and currently have a number of prestigious projects. Due to continued success in the market they are looking for an experienced Principal Engineer to join their infrastructure team.

Your new role
In your new role you will form part of the senior leadership team, actively playing a part in leading the team and running complex projects from concept to completion. You will take a lead and handle technical infrastructure design work for a number of key projects across the commercial and industrial development team, you will mainly be involved in drainage work using Micro Drainage and Civil 3D in terms of design software. You also play a key role in managing the team and developing new graduates.

Key tasks: Earthwork design, below ground and surface water drainage design, external works and pavement design.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need to come from a strong civil engineering background and have experience with infrastructure design projects - mainly drainage. You will be chartered and need to be a confident user of Micro Drainage and Civil 3D. You will also need to have experience running high profile projects and managing a team.
