Calling all Civil Project Managers; New Zealand needs you!

New Zealand is on the cusp of unprecedented civil and infrastructure activity in a wide variety of industry sectors. Numerous major projects have been awarded with many more coming through the system in the immediate future. These, combined with the biggest investment in water infrastructure for over 50 years, means that there will be a high demand for professionals working in the sector.

One client is taking a very proactive approach to the upcoming needs and is making the most of one of their senior managers being in the UK at the end of August. During his visit he intends to make time to meet up with, and interview, prospective candidates for positions within their organisation around New Zealand.

This client is one of New Zealand’s leading civil and infrastructure contractors with operations throughout both the North and South Islands. They work in a variety of sectors including rail, road, earthworks, civil structures, water and wastewater to name but a few and are involved with projects valued from $500,000 to over $500 million. They are a traditional civil contractor working in a regional capacity but also have a major projects division where they work as a lead contractor or as part of a joint venture.

The main focus of this visit is to meet with Project Managers and Senior Project Managers. Senior Project Managers will have a minimum of 20 years’ experience working on a variety of civil and infrastructure projects. Size of projects can vary but certainly those with experience in major projects with values of over £100 million will be of significant interest. Project Managers will come from similar backgrounds and will need to have a minimum of 15 years’ experience in the industry. Those currently working as Senior Site Agents or Contracts Managers would also fit the criteria for these roles.
