Your new company
Your new company is an award winning, leading consultancy having specialised in the built environment for over 50 years. Their services include Civils & Structures, Transport Planning, Environmental, Infrastructure, Geotechnical, Conservation & Heritage and Principal Designer. With offices all over the UK and an ever expanding workload, they are now looking to appoint a Structural Engineer to join their high performing Bristol team.

Your new role
You will be expected to take technical lead on both large and small projects. This will include liaising with and leading other senior members of the team to achieve a integrated solution that meets the clients objectives. You will be completing assessments and site inspections of new and existing properties in steel, masonry, concrete and timber, as well as undertaking analysis and design using a predominantly TEKLA and TEDDS. A high quality and consistency of technical output is maintained along with preparing a strong standard of technical reports including structural surveys.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have gained a Bachelor's or Masters degree in civil or structural engineering and will either chartered or near chartership. A good mix of experience within the common forms of construction and building types is required as your portfolio of projects will be equally as varied. You will have knowledge and experience in using Eurocodes and strong communication, report writing and numerical skills will be necessary. Any business development skills or experience will be an added bonus.
