There is a lot happening in York, ranging from major transport projects including: upgrading the outer ring road, the largest regeneration schemes in decades around the Railway Station, a new Community Stadium to significant transport initiatives such as the introduction of one of the largest electric bus fleets in the country.

This key post is responsible for managing all of the work being delivered by the Sustainable Transport team. The delivery of effective sustainable transport options for the visitors and residents in City is essential if the  city's Local Transport Plan policies and future growth aspirations are to be achieved.  You will be responsible for a variety of services ranging from the city's Park & Ride service and Quality Bus Partnership to delivering, Road Safety Training and Travel Planning. 

This is a high profile role will lead on the city's behaviour change initiatives through the itravelYork programme. Working with the city's bus operators you will lead on delivery of the city's clean air zone and concessionary fares scheme. You will work closely with the Transport Policy Manager to ensure that any future transport policy changes for the city are deliverable.
