Structural CAD Technician

Come and join this busy and thriving multi-disciplinary consultancy in Cambridge. The company specialises in providing advice to the construction industry and produce innovative design solutions for new and historic structures.

Their growing workload means they are now looking to take on a Structural CAD Technician with a background designing buildings structures in all traditional materials with experience working on small to medium sized schemes, amongst others.

You will enjoy working on varied projects nationwide, ranging from refurbishment, commercial, leisure and domestic. Experience in detailed drawings and calculations for all forms of construction and civil engineering is essential.

Requirements of the CAD Technician:

• Ability to understand design process,
• Assist engineers and graduates in provision of information,
• Receive brief from engineers in form of structural design,
• Produce CAD / BIM drawings,
• Produce reinforcement drawings,
• Develop the detail of the design components of the structures.

As a CAD Technician you will have good communication skills, with the ability to liaise at all levels internally and with external clients.
