Structural CAD Technician

Our client is one of the top firms in London and they have won a number of awards. Their schemes are large, internationally recognised and high profile - allowing maximum exposure and international acclaim.

Their buildings structures team in London has an opportunity for a conscientious and motivated individual to join as a Structural CAD Technician. You will work within a young and dynamic team on exciting and challenging projects, both within the UK and globally.

Working closely with the engineers, you will play an integral part in each scheme from concept to completion, including the production of 3D models.

Example of some responsibilities of a Structural CAD Technician:

• Prepare buildings structures drawings with accuracy and integrity
• Prepare 3D CAD models
• Work within the whole team to adhere to BIM standards and plans, within company guidelines
• Assist with preparing project documentation
• Support engineering team

The successful Structural CAD Technician will be proficient in the use of AutoCAD, with Revit skills being an advantage (training will be provided if required).

Your previous experience should include steel and concrete building structures and you will possess excellent analytical skills.

As a Structural CAD Technician you will have worked within an engineering consultancy for at least 3 years, after having gained a degree or HNC/HND in construction and built environment.
