Structural Steel Detailer

We are seeking a skilled Structural Steel Detailer on behalf of our client, one of the UK's leading structural steelwork specialists for their busy office in Harrow.

The successful candidate will have a good working knowledge of structural steelwork and UK construction as well as a competency in TEKLA.

Responsibilities:

• Review of design drawings and generate RFI's for missing information with regard to structural steel,
• Liaise with connection designer for design of steel connections,
• Liaise with site teams to understand erection sequence and agree order call offs,
• Produce high quality structural steelwork drawings using TEKLA structures (this should include plans, sections, elevations and details as required),
• Production of IFC models for design team review,
• Produce fab packs for structural steel to be manufactured,
• Visit site to inspect steel install and help troubleshoot any problems.

Requirements:

• Minimum of two years' experience using TEKLA structures,
• Good working knowledge of building structures,
• Extensive steel detailing experience.

As a Steel Detailer, you will have performed in a similar role for a minimum of two years previously and have the drive and ambition to ensure that project are believer on budget and in a timely manner.
