There is also the potential for the successful candidate to be based in London. Whilst the position advertised is for a principal engineering role, there is scope for promotion to an associate level within the next 2-3 years subject to performance and availability.

The company will consider applicants from Mechanical, Electrical, Civil or Chemical Engineering backgrounds providing they have experience within the utilities sector, preferably water/waste water.

This includes wastewater treatment and associated pumping as well as water supply, treatment, and transfer systems. There is, however, a degree of building services work including HVAC, potable water systems, and fire suppression related projects that will also require input from time to time.

The successful applicant will join the water and M& E team working for the Director of the Water and M&E Division within a developed small team environment involved in a wide-ranging role which could include (project dependent) project management, design, design management, bid preparation, specification and tender preparation, site asset surveys and energy efficiency strategies.

Essential Experience/Skills:

  • Project management experience is key with knowledge and experience managing NEC 3 contracts
  • Programme management and the software used (i.e. MS Projects)

The candidate would be responsible for managing a multi-disciplinary team as well as taking project and design management roles where applicable, therefore it is important that they have technical knowledge and experience within the utilities sector. The candidate could also be responsible for the development and governance of the junior engineers, dependant on their discipline. This includes developing their technical knowledge as well as their personal competencies which go towards them achieving Chartered Status.

In addition to a competitive salary, the company offer 25 days annual leave, car allowance, professional subscriptions paid for, Cycle to Work Scheme, discounted retail vouchers, various private insurance schemes available.

If suitable, please send me your CV in Word format.
