Senior Civil Engineer

A renowned multi-disciplinary consultancy based in Central London is now looking for their next strategic hire - at Senior level!

This firm has a unique opportunity for an Senior Civil Engineer. The successful candidate will be self-motivating and proactive, driving expansion of existing areas and maximising new sector opportunities.

Minimum qualification: Bachelor of Engineering - Civils, or internationally equivalent. At senior level you will be expected to have achieved UK Chartered status with ICE

A capable all round engineer is required, with excellent Business Development skills - actively pursuing new opportunities, winning work and proactively developing existing and new clients relationships.

Responsibilities:

• Monitoring budgets and controlling expenditure to meet financial targets
• Predicting and planning future resources, this may include setting up new projects and project plans
• Contribute to the development and actioning of plans for the longer-term benefit to the business
• May be responsible for:
• Monitoring the performance of others, and providing guidance/training
• Achievement if financial targets in certain areas/setting budgets
• Negotiating significant contracts/agreements with clients

Discipline Responsibilities:

• Drainage design schemes in an urban/greenfield setting
• Working knowledge of Section 102 and 104 adoptions, 106 connection application and 185 diversion works.
• Highway infrastructure design and adoption, with a focus to levels and drainage
• Use computer design engineering software for simulation and preparation of design documents
• Liaise with construction contractors working on projects
• Supervise other designers/drafters when required

Requirements:

• UK Chartered Engineer
• Bachelor's/Master's degree in Civil Engineering or international equivalent
• Strong knowledge of Sewers for Adoption 7th edition, Planning policy statement 25 , Approved Document H.
• Strong knowledge of Section 38 adoption and 278 works, Design Manual for Roads and Bridges, Road markings and Signage.
