Your new company
Your new company is an experienced business, with over 30 years experience operating within the civil,structural and geotechnical markets. A good reputation in their chosen fields they are now looking to expand their civil engineering team with a drainage engineer. This would be ideal for someone local to Wigan, or that wants to cut down their commute time into Manchester or Preston.

The company as a whole is made up of around 11 staff members, a small consultancy feel working on large projects. This mean for you that more project ownership and faster development go hand in hand.

Your new role
In you new role you will work within a strong civil engineering team of four, you being the fifth member. You will support and work along side the civil engineering manager, working on drainage and highways schemes for residential projects. The majority of the civil work is working closely with large house builders across the UK. You will use design software such as PDS, Micro Drainage and AutoCAD for detail design work and external works.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you need to come from a strong civil engineering background, having experience working on drainage and highways schemes for residential projects. 90% - 95% of their work is with house builders across the North West and wide UK. Management experience is also desirable. It is essential that you can use AutoCAD and has some working knowledge of Micro Drainage and PDS.
