We are looking for a keen and enthusiastic individual to join our laboratory team which provides geotechnical support to Norfolk County Council and other clients.

A significant part of the role is to plan, conduct or supervise geotechnical investigations and to write factual and interpretative reports and therefore degree level qualifications (or substantial demonstrable experience) in relevant discipline and experience in geotechnical investigations is essential.

You will also describe samples and enter data to produce geotechnical logs. Proficiency in Microsoft Office products is essential. Experience in HoleBaseSI, CAD and Microdrainage would also be desirable.

This is a challenging position which involves working across wide ranging activities. A proven track record in building and maintaining good working relationships with a range of stakeholders is essential. It requires meeting client deadlines and expectations, including external customers, and therefore the ability to prioritise a busy workload is essential.

This comes at a time when this operationally focused team is looking to further expand its delivery model and explore wider commercial opportunities.

Travel to sites is required, therefore a full driving licence is essential. A C1E category is desirable, or willingness to obtain.
