Building Structures Engineer (High Rise)

A structural engineer with an interest in high-rise structures is required by this large independent civil and structural consultancy. This is an opportunity to work alongside and learn from a senior director in a small team designing large scale multi-storey building structures projects for major developers and architects.

You will be included many of the  key design decisions from concept stages to completion and gain invaluable on the job training. There will be close collaboration and communication with clients and architects and regular site visits, often in Central London. They are looking for a structural engineer with at least four years design experience with a focus on steel and concrete building structures design. This is a role for someone who will take the opportunity provided to learn and develop.

A strong academic background is required, ideally a 2:1 from a reputable university in civil engineering or structural engineering.  You will be expected to work towards achieving chartered status through either the Institution of Civil Engineers (ICE) or the Institution of Structural Engineers (IStructE). The company has an international presence and can offer plenty of scope for career progression.
