Civil Engineering Technician

Conrad Consulting are pleased to offer a unique proposition for an experienced Civil Engineering Technician.

Having not obtained a Degree, many Technicians feel the frustrations this can bring:

• Lack of recognition for the 'Engineering' duties you do on a regular basis
• Reluctance from your employer to offer you an Engineer's job title
• Upper limit on the salary levels you can achieve
• Lack of progression beyond Senior Technician

Does this sound like you? It's very common in today's market but fear not! Conrad Consulting is working alongside a premium housebuilder who are shaking things up.

They are based in Glasgow and looking to hire a Project Engineer.

You do NOT need a degree to be considered. Equivalent experience and those with a HNC/HND are most welcome.

WHAT SKILLS SHOULD YOU HAVE?

• It's expected you are either working for a consulting engineer or perhaps already with a housebuilder
• You should have some design/drawing experience - ideally using Civil 3D, PDS, MicroDrainge or AutoCAD
• An understanding of the construction lifecycle
• Strong communication skills and the confidence to liaise with third parties
• Ability to learn quickly

ON OFFER

• Basic salary of £32,000 to £36,000
• Car allowance of £5,000
• Annual bonus (usually £4,000 +)
• 5% pension
• Healthcare
• Life assurance

All in all, your package will be in excess of £40,000 and will only continue to increase, reaching heights not possible in the current Consulting Engineer environment.
