Senior Project Manager (Retail) - London

Property & Construction:

Due to continued growth, my clients retail development team are currently recruiting for an experienced Senior Project Manager to be based at their head office in Central London.

The Senior Project Manager will be leading with the delivery of retail projects within the Property & Construction division.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities for the Senior Project Manager:
Delivery and management of projects from conception to completion
Review of agreement for leases and license alterations
Preparation of technical spec of works
Appointment of consultant teams
Preparation of project programmes
Undertake client meetings
Managing the design from the initial design brief through to detailed design
Assist and manage the consultant team to prepare and submit planning applications
Tendering the scheme and undertaking contractor interviews
Assisting the QS to prepare a contract for the recommended main contractor
Undertake site progress and design meetings
Regularly update the client throughout the project lifecycle
Undertake the Employer's agent role throughout the contract phase, preparing and issuing certifications accordingly
Obtain and gather all close out information on projects following completion

Relevant Skills and Qualifications for the Senior Project Manager:
Degree in construction management and or equivalent
Ideally RICS qualified and or equivalent,
Extensive experience in the delivery of retail projects for blue chip clients, ideally for FTSE250 corporate businesses
Experience in the delivery of retail projects - ideally in shell and core. But we will consider experience in fit-out projects as well
Experience in delivering leisure, hotel and student accommodation projects would be beneficial
Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
Experience in managing / mentoring younger members of the team.
