Your new company
A medium sized consultancy with a national presence that provide excellent design services throughout the buildings sector with a heavy involvement in the residential, commercial, refurb and retail markets. This consultancy are doing extremely well in the Scottish Market just now and are, therefore, looking to add a Structural Engineer to their successful team.


Your new role
In your new role you will have the opportunity to work across a wide range of sectors as part of a multi-professional team, delivering a number of projects predominantly within the building structures environment. Reporting to the lead Structural Engineer you will be responsible for the design of a range of developments from concept design to completion. If you have enough experience you will be given the opportunity to fully run your own projects, thus fast tracking your progression as an Engineer. If you don't quite have the experience, you will be given all the tools and support to reach that level as quickly as possible. In this role, you will also liaise directly with clients and represent the organisation at various meetings.


What you'll need to succeed
You will have a Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or similar and will be chartered or working towards chartership. You will have a good understanding of the building process, Structural Design, design management, and ultimately know how to interact with other stakeholders in the construction process. Excellent communication skills are vital, both written and verbal, for developing relations within the team and externally with clients. Particular experience of design within the built structures environment is essential.



What you'll get in return
You will get a very competitive salary between £30000 and £45000. However, this can be negotiated depending on your experience and skill-set.
