Our client is an award winning Civil and Structural Engineering design practice and they currently have an opening for an experienced Senior Structural Design Engineer to join their building structures team in Cambridge.

The successful candidate will design and deliver a wide range of small, medium and large scale projects ranging from £2 - £50m on a full time permanent basis.

Responsibilities:

  • Design and manage own projects with minimal supervision,
  • Attend Client / design team meetings,
  • Carry out site visits & inspections,
  • Liaising & coordinating with clients & consultants,
  • Project programming & monitoring,
  • Manage a small group of internal engineers and technical staff.

Requirements

  • Hold a degree in Civil or Structural Engineering,
  • Chartered or approaching Chartered Status with MIStructE,
  • A minimum of 8 years' industry experience, 6 of which should be in the UK,
  • Robot and / or Tekla experience is essential.

The successful Structural Senior Design Engineer will be responsible for the accuracy & quality of work produced as well as the progression of projects, their profitability & the satisfaction of clients.
