Highways Engineer working for a large engineering consultancy in Blackburn

Your new company
Your new company is a very well established consultancy with offices all over the UK. They are a multi-disciplinary business with the capability to work on a wide variety of projects. Flexible working and benefits are strong along with a good working environment. This role will sit within the highways and transport team, focusing on both private and public sector projects.

Your new role
In your new role you will lead the highways team, working on large scale highways design projects and modification projects. Typically you will be working on concept and detail design along with highways improvement projects. You will also be working on tender typically using NEC3/4 forms of contract. In short you will work on technical design projects, lead a team of more junior engineers and be involved in liaising with senior level clients.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need to come from a strong highways background, and have experience leading a team of engineers. You need to have a suitable qualification and be chartered or be working towards. Ideally you will have a mixture of project experience and be confident creating new design and also working on modifications.
