We seek a motivated person to join The Flood Risk Management Team, part of the Civil Engineering Services section based at County Hall, Beverley. You will be part of an engineering team which manages the delivery of a significant flood alleviation scheme capital and flood risk revenue programme of works, and is a statutory consultee to the planning process for surface water drainage and flood risk.

Managerial skills together with a working knowledge of the construction industry, ideally in the Flood Risk and surface water drainage discipline are essential. You will also have a detailed technical knowledge of drainage and flood risk standards, practical knowledge of New Engineering Contract Procedures and of Project Management practices and principles.

Relevant construction related qualifications together with post qualification civil engineering and managerial experience is also required. An ability to carry out extensive liaison, consultation and communication with the public and a wide range of stakeholders is essential.
