We seek a motivated person to join The Flood Risk Management Team, part of the Civil Engineering Services section based at County Hall, Beverley. You will be part of an engineering team which manages the delivery of a significant flood alleviation scheme capital and flood risk revenue programme of works, and is a statutory consultee to the planning process for surface water drainage and flood risk.

Knowledge of the construction industry, ideally in the Flood Risk and surface water drainage discipline, is essential. You will also have knowledge of drainage and flood risk design codes and standards, an awareness of Project Management practices and principles and a working knowledge of New Engineering Contract Procedures.

Relevant construction related qualifications together with post qualification civil engineering experience are required as is the ability to carry out extensive liaison, consultation and communication with the public and a wide range of stakeholders.
