Senior Structural Engineer required by Civil and Structural Design Consultancy for their office in Cambridge. The firm is a medium sized and reputable design consultancy with over 70 staff over several offices. The Cambridge office is small but growing rapidly due to busy workload.

You should be experienced in the UK and suited to running a variety of projects from £2m-£50m. You should be Chartered or approaching this status, client focussed and experienced in using ROBOT or TEKLA.

The company take on projects ranging from small-scale refurbishment and extension to large-scale new build in all areas from residential, education, healthcare and arts to commercial, sports and infrastructure. The company specialisms include heritage engineering, off-site fabrication, appraisal of existing buildings, refurbishment and repair, infrastructure engineering, engineering sustainability, pre-planning advice and deep basement design. In addition to the projects in the UK, the company also have projects in Russia and Eastern Europe.

You will be required to design and manage you own projects, attend Client / Design team meetings with a limited degree of supervision and manage a small group of internal Engineers / Technical staff.

The suitable candidate will have a dynamic approach, and an enthusiastic interest in the local buillt environment and desire to develop your own knowledge whilst mentoring more junior staff.
