Due to their expanding workload and increasing pipeline of projects, they are seeking a Senior/ Principal Structural Engineer to join the Cardiff Office.

Your new role
You will be expected to take technical lead on both large and small projects. This will include liaising with and leading other members of the team to achieve an integrated solution that meets the clients objectives. You will be completing assessments and site inspections of new and existing properties in steel, masonry, concrete and timber, as well as undertaking analysis and design using a predominantly TEKLA and TEDDS. A high quality and consistency of technical output is maintained along with preparing a strong standard of technical reports including structural surveys. There is a vast variety of projects including Hotels, Hospices, Multi-storey Residential, Schools, Colleges, Care Homes, Listed Building Refurbs and more.

What you'll need to succeed
You will have a strong academic record, preferably with a Master's degree, from an accredited University, as well as a passion for architecture and building design. You will be working closely with architects and will therefore be able to articulate your creative ideas persuasively through sketching, verbally and in writing. You will have strong analytical and problem solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex tasks through rational and methodical thought to achieve an optimum solution. You will have a collaborative team-working style and will be able to work effectively with people at all levels and from all backgrounds.

Training and mentoring will be offered to ensure that you are able to develop your skill set and progress your career as a technician, and support through professional qualifications will be offered.
