Transport Planner job in Bristol with a growing Transport Planning & Infrastructure Engineering consultancy

Your new company
Your new company was formed in the early 2000's, initially to provide transport, infrastructure planning / engineering and flood risk management advice to the land development and property sector. They have particular expertise in residential developments, on both Greenfield and Brownfield sites. Their teams work with clients throughout the whole development process, taking schemes from site pre-purchase and due diligence, through the planning application submission to secure consent, and on to detailed design and site supervision during construction.

Your new company currently employs over 60 staff with varied skills and experience. They are particularly proud of the extensive and varied development experience of their staff who are able to offer a wide range of services, drawing upon their extensive and varied expertise when working on schemes within multi-disciplinary project teams. It is this breadth of experience which enables your new company to offer a wide range of transport planning, infrastructure and flood risk services. It also means that they are always able to see the bigger picture and consider implications outside their specialist areas of expertise.

Your new role
In your new role, you will be part of and learning from a highly experienced team with a wealth of knowledge between them. You will be working on schemes that are generated from transport planning issues spanning across all sectors including mixed use, retail, residential, commercial and more. You will be preparing transport assessments; assisting in traffic flow analysis and junction modelling; preparing travel plans; preparing construction management or logistics plans, servicing and delivery plans, car parking management plans and other related documents to discharge planning conditions; assisting in preliminary highway design; assisting in providing transport inputs into environmental impact assessments; undertaking traffic data collection, analysis and presentation.

What you'll need to succeed
To succeed in this role, you should have either a BEng/MEng degree or HNC in Civil Engineering, or a degree in a related subject such as Geography plus ideally an MSc in Transport Planning/Engineering, together with a minimum of one to two years' post qualification experience (previous experience is not essential). Any experience that you have should be in Transport Assessments, Green Travel Plans, and preliminary highway/junction layout design and capacity analysis.

What you'll get in return
You will be offered a competitive remuneration package and excellent career prospects in an established team that continues to grow and expand its market presence - this appointment is to meet continued growth of the business. The package will include 25 days holiday plus all bank holidays, flexitime, pension scheme and a discretionary bonus scheme based on both company and individual. This is a great company offering a really exciting and challenging opportunity.
