Your new role

You will work as a Chartered Senior/Associate Structural Engineer for the team in London, with a focus on business development in the commercial and residential sectors. Responsibilities among others are to lead the technical delivery of structural engineering services, able to solve project challenges, deliver multiple projects within budget, be the point of contact for clients, contractors, design team and third parties, manage own time, lead the preparation of winning proposals/bids, distribute key market information to the delivery teams in order to enhance the quality of service the company offers and manage clients' relationships to extend and repeat business opportunities. The role is ideal for a current Senior Engineer who is looking for the next step in their career.


What you'll need to succeed

Reporting to the practice manager, you will need to be a capable chartered engineer with established skills and delivery capability, (MIStructE or MICE) with experience in residential and/or commercial structures. You will also need to have the ability to communicate well and develop client relationships, to make decisions, to act on their own initiative, to have good organisational and interpersonal skills with the ability to work under pressure. Being able to adapt to different cultures/working environments is crucial, along with having a flexible attitude to the level of responsibility given, the type of work undertaken and to be a curious minded individual who enjoys collaborations and exchanging ideas with others.
