Principal Structural Engineer - Hertfordshire

Our client is a respected medium sized firm of Consulting Engineers with an exciting future workload and are working on a wide and varied range of schemes including retail, educational, leisure and residential projects.

They seek a talented Principal Structural Engineer who will be degree qualified, ideally Chartered with around 10 years post graduate experience and capable of the following:

- Prepare structural design in all conventional materials and experience also required in refurbishment
- Take a global view of structural design on a project, identifying potential problems and solutions and provide advice to clients on structural options.
- Mentoring and leading more Junior staff members
- Handling of entire projects through to completion, including client liaison, attendance at meetings and ensuring drawings are prepared satisfactorily.
- Schematic structural design based on basic architectural layouts.
- Speak clearly, confidently, professionally and convincingly at meetings and on the telephone.
- Ability to work well with others as part of a team.

Our client will provide excellent ongoing training and a generous salary package. This will be negotiable depending on the individual's level of experience and ability, but likely to be in the region of £45-55,000 p.a.
