Cladding Designer

Conrad Consulting are working with a contractor based in Glasgow to appoint a Cladding Designer to their Engineering team.

Out client has a varied portfolio of architecturally aesthetic designs which cover both refurb and new developments in the UK.

Ideally, you will have experience working as a designer within the cladding or roofing industry. However, if you feel you are a fast learner and with transferable design skills from another construction related field, then we still want to hear from you. Disciplines could include timber kit, steel fabrication, architecture/interiors, modular build, temporary works or similar

Responsibilities:

• Engage with the site/delivery team ensuring build accurately reflects design
• Take projects from specification through to design
• Manage all construction documentation including construction drawings, 'As Built' drawings and project tracker sheets
• Liaise with the commercial team to ensure materials are ordered on schedule
• Be conscious of commercial constraints to deliver projects within budget without compromising the safety, functionality or visual impact of a build

On offer:

Depending on experience, a salary of £24,000 - £30,000 will be offered, along with a competitive benefits package and parking space at the office.
