We're working with a highly reputable, talented consultancy providing structural, civil and highway services. Due to a busy portfolio, the client is keen to expand their team, taking on a Senior Structural Engineer to help lead projects, and be a supervisory figure to the team of engineers.

Within the lead role with this company, you should expect to manage a varied mix of projects across all disciplines (small to much larger). My client is looking for a highly-motivated, and organised individual who's background will see them excel in the business.

Projects: Residential, Retail, Commercial, Refurbishments, High-end build and so on.

Person Specification:

  • Chartered or near Chartered
  • At least 5 years' UK project experience
  • Experience managing projects from conception to completion
  • Solid understanding of RIBA Plan of Work
  • Confidence in managing client expectations and attending design meetings
  • Excellent knowledge across a range of building materials (to British Standards & Eurocodes)
  • Excellent design software experience (Robot, SCIA, Masterseries, ETBAS, Tekla, FEM etc)

Responsibilities:

  • Communicating with clients and coordinating the construction processes
  • Undertaking site surveys and inspections
  • Produce design documents and reports
  • Attend design meetings/workshops
