Project Engineer- Structures

We are working with a multi-disciplinary engineering practice offering civil and structural services to a wide variety of clients. Due to their continued success they are looking for a Project Civil/Structural Engineer to join the structures team in their Norwich office on a full time permanent basis.

The successful Structural Engineer will be given the opportunity to contribute to their impressive and diverse portfolio of civil and structural engineering projects from concept design through approvals to construction, preparing calculations and technical design information to deliver solutions for both new-build and refurbishment projects.

Responsibilities:

• Supervising & assisting CAD Technicians,
• Work closely on construction plans with clients, architects and other professionals,
• Develop design ideas using AutoCAD / Revit,
• Produce structural calculations in steel, concrete, timber and masonry,
• Carry out site inspections,
• Attend project meetings in house or on site.

Requirements:

• A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering,
• A minimum of 5 years' post-graduation industry experience working on commercial, educational and residential developments,
• Working towards chartership or planning to,
• Relevant industry experience, with direct emphasis on buildings and structural/civil engineering,
• Experience of working with AutoCAD, BIM / REVIT / TEDDS / TEKLA,
• Good written and verbal communication skills,
• Ability to manage own workload within agreed time scales.
