Civil Engineering Associate

Step up to an associate level position and join a leading project management and engineering consultancy with a burgeoning workload for 2020 and significant civil infrastructure commissions. As growth is set to continue, they require an ambitious senior civil engineer with drainage expertise to join their engineering management team. Their workload has a commercial emphasis with blue chip clients who have long term development plans.

The opportunity: Your position will evolve from managing external consultants to developing their in-house civil engineering capability. With extensive infrastructure work available with current clients, you will work with project management colleagues to select the most viable, profitable commissions. You will be involved in hiring additional engineering expertise and have the full support of the director of civil & structural engineering. The company has maintained healthy margins and profitability throughout decades of successful trading. Their high level of technical expertise is backed up by proven management and technical delivery processes. As a member of their London operations you will be based in new, highly resourced offices that are geared up for expansion.

About you: You will need to be a chartered civil (MICE)  or chartered environmental (C.WEM)  engineer. A combination of technical and “soft” skills is required. You will need a background in drainage design that includes experience of preparing drainage strategies and knowledge of SuDS. Long term growth requires strong leadership and mentoring skills. The immediate requirement to work with key clients demands good verbal and communication.
