Your new company
Your new company is an established and growing public sector body, working closely with highways authorities and transport authorities across the UK. Based in Manchester in the heart of the North they work on a variety of transport related projects and deliver key infrastructure. They are now looking for an experienced transport professional to join and enhance their major roads team. This is a unique opportunity to really help, deliver and shape key infrastructure across the North of England.

Your new role
Your role will be a Transport Strategy Officer and you will sit within the Major Roads team helping deliver and programme manage key projects across the North. You will work closely with key stakeholders and ensure projects are delivered on time and on budget. Within these role you will work on a mix of small to large projects and deal with large local authorities and transport bodies.

What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you will need to come from a strong transport/highways background and have experience running projects as a project manager in the past. You need have experience working with key stakeholders and have the ability to work under pressure and adhere to deadlines. In terms of background, this could suit someone from an engineering, planning or transport/highways management background. Passion and drive are key for this role, with the ability to overcome objections also very important.
