Highways and Traffic Management Service Manager job opening for public sector council role.
Your new company
You will be joining a local authority based in Essex. The council delivers a wide range of important services for the community, whilst investing in opportunities and plans that keep the area one of the highest tourist destinations within the UK. The area itself is a great place to live, with lots of public parks and leisure opportunities, however also great travel connections from Central London.
Your new role
You will be leading performance, change management and development of the Traffic and Highways service area, and liaising with clients and stakeholders in order to deliver services to the borough. Projects include developing policies in relation to highways, parking and road safety schemes. You will have a critical role within strategically planning and managing the projects.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have significant and proven experience in the management of large operational services within a public sector environment, and a history of delivering highways and traffic management schemes within the public sector, preferably on behalf of a local authority
What you'll get in return
