Senior Temporary Works Design Engineer

Opportunity to work in the in house design team for this world class main contractor, working within the temporary works design department. The role will be based in the Hemel Hempstead office.

You will be a key player in the temporary works department and expected to undertake temporary works design for projects, including basements, propping, facade retentions, tower crane bases, scaffolds and major ground retention schemes. You will design, review, supervise and check temporary works. You will be working with the pre-construction team appraising various value engineering options.

You should be an experienced temporary works designer with a CV that demonstrates experience in structural design, as well as some site experience. Candidates from either a design consultancy or contractor background will be considered.

You must be able to undertake temporary works design in steel, rc, timber, excavation support materials and excavation slope stability, etc. You will also be heavily involved in the design co-ordination process for the temporary works side of things.

Ideally you will be Chartered and keen to progress your career within a progressive team.
