Senior Structural Engineer Required - Bath
Your new company
Your new company are a dynamic team of multi-disciplinary consultants based in Bath. They are looking to grow their structural engineering team to increase their engineering workload to grow their project capabilities. You will be part of a growing team made up of architects, engineers, building surveyors and technologists who cover a variety of sectors including residential development, commercial projects, heritage, hotel, office space and educational schemes.
Your new role
In your new role you will be carrying out the design of a mixed bag of projects made up of steel, timber and concrete elements to create RC Concrete Structures, Timber Structures and Steel Designs. You will be carrying the responsibility to take a project lead to advise on the development of structural design packages, advise on the development of the structural team and manage new structural employees. You will also be working to self-managed budgets to meet KPI targets.
What you'll need to succeed
You will have a strong academic record, preferably with a master's degree, from an accredited University, as well as a passion for architecture and building design. You will be working closely with architects and will therefore be able to articulate your creative ideas persuasively through sketching, verbally and in writing. You will have strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to resolve complex tasks through rational and methodical thought to achieve an optimum solution. You will have a collaborative team-working style and will be able to work effectively with people at all levels and from all backgrounds. You will also have a sound AutoCAD knowledge and a valid UK driving license.
