Highways Structures Team Leader - Exeter

Your new role
You will contribute to the successful delivery of the programme of work by designing, developing and overseeing sound design solutions to meet client requirements within budget and timescale, following the companies's processes and procedures as well as any Client specific requirements. You will be handling procedures, reporting requirements and providing technical leadership to projects will be important in the role as will production and overseeing of designs that comply with relevant health and safety legislation, particularly the CDM Regulations. You will contribute to the regular reporting of progress to external clients and communicating with internal line managers regarding progress against planned programme.
What you'll need to succeed
The ideal candidate will have a degree or equivalent in a relevant discipline and to be a Chartered / Incorporated member of a relevant professional institution (MICE/MIStructE). You will be able to demonstrate broad in-depth experience in inspection, assessment, design and construction of highway structures. You will also have experience working on design contracts with Highways England and be able to lead and manage technical compliance checks for project team outputs. You will have a detailed understanding of healthy and safety management and a CSCS Card and Driving License will be desirable.
