Mechanical Shift Engineer

Working with a manufacturer in the Lancaster area providing support in mechanical maintenance department

Your new company
They are an established textile manufacturer that have been trading for numerous years and are in search of a temporary mechanically bias engineer.

Your new role
You will be working rotating weekly shifts Monday to Friday 6am-2pm and then 2pm - 10pm. You will provide general mechanical maintenance support and you will be working on the planned maintenance of numerous hydraulics and pneumatic equipment. You will also be needed to aid with the reactive maintenance when machines breakdown in order to ensure production continues smoothly.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need to be qualified in an Mechanical Engineering or hold the equivalent experience to be successful in this role. You will also need to have good knowledge and understanding of motors and hydraulics/pneumatics. You will also need to be able to work occasional overtime if a breakdown occurs late on.

What you'll get in return
You will receive an hourly rate up to £15 per hour and you will accrue holiday pay throughout your time at the company. You will also be paid pension contributions throughout this assignment.
