Graduate Civil Engineer

Graduate Civil Engineer job based in Nottingham. You are a graduate with 1-2 years hands on experience.

A well established engineering consultancy business with a healthy pipeline of work. They are civil, structural, environmental, geotechnical and transportation engineers.The firm is an SME with over 60 employees working for both public and private clients in a range of sectors including housing, education, health, retail, commercial, industrial, heritage, care and leisure.

Your new role
You will be involved in the design and drafting of SuDS schemes, private externals works, Section 38 and Section 104 works for adoption.Your role will also include the design and drafting of civil engineering works for a variety of sectors that will include retail, leisure, commercial, general industrial, storage and distribution, hotels, institutions, residential, venues/health and fitness.

What you'll need to succeed
You are a graduate Civil Engineer with 1-2 years of hands on experience since graduating. You have a logical analytical approach to problem solving and you are computer literate, being fully competent in the use of Word and Excel.Specific experience in the use of AutoCAD for technical drawing will ideally be demonstrated at interview. Experience in the use of Microdrainage and PDS would be advantageous. Your knowledge of the CDM Regulations and construction industry health and safety is essential.
