Hays are delighted to be working exclusively with a successful consultancy who have ambitious plans to significantly grow their presence in the Scottish market, aiming to double their headcount in Edinburgh alone within the next 12 months. After a busy 2020, and with a healthy pipeline of work planned for 2021, they are now looking to appoint an Engineer and a Senior Engineer to join their Edinburgh office, which is located just a 10 minute walk away from Haymarket station.


Your new role
You will be working closely with a team of talented and innovative engineers, both in the office (once restrictions allow) and remotely from home. Supporting senior staff, you will provide design input and technical knowledge for a wide range of traffic, transportation and parking commissions from inception through to completion. You will play an integral part in helping to achieve the company's future aspirations and growth, and may be rewarded with fast tracked promotions for your efforts.


What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role you need to come from a strong civil engineering / traffic engineering background, having experience working detail design projects and preparing temporary and permanent TRO. You will have a degree in Civil Engineering and will ideally be a member of a recognised professional body. It is essential that you are proficient in the use of design software, having previous experience using Civil 3D and AutoCAD, and it is important for you to have excellent interpersonal and communication skills, allowing you to work well with colleagues, clients and stakeholders.
