Roads Inspector

3+ Month contract for an experienced Roads Inspector. Rate negotiable DOE & preferred pay type

Your new company
A busy Roads team in the south of Scotland currently have an immediate requirement for an experienced Roads Inspector to join them on a temporary contract basis. This will initially be for a period of 3-4 months, but may well extend beyond that.

Your new role
Working closely with the Technical Assistant, you will be responsible for carrying out walking & driven inspections on a range of maintenance, upgrade and new roads & pavements across a wide geographical area. Defects will be recorded accordingly and will then be passed to the Technical Assistant who will issue information to contractors to complete improvement works as necessary.

What you'll need to succeed
You will require experience acting in a similar role, with a background in civil engineering /roads. It is important that you are suitable qualified for this post, either through experience having worked directly for a local authority, or by having completed an accredited NRSWA course. As this role requires a reasonable amount of travel, you will be provided with a van - it is therefore essential that you hold a valid full UK driving licence.

What you'll get in return
The hourly rate for this position is negotiable dependent upon your experience and preferred payment type, however it is likely to be in the region of £17 - £25 per hour.
