Your new company
They have been established for half a century and have grown from a small company to a leading supplier in their field with the increase in technology systems and updated machinery which vastly improves their quality and reputation.

Your new role
This role involves a lot of project management. You will work 37.5 hours a week from Monday to Thursday 8:00am - 4:45pm and on Friday you finish at 12:30pm. This role involves managing long term contracts for the production team. You will have accountability for projects and their quality and quantity of outputs delivered as well as setting budgetary and margin constraints. You will ensure resource requirements are met to improve output etc. Furthermore, you will be producing reports for weekly and monthly meetings with the MD and liaise with other departments in order to meet requirements and improve processes. You will be overseeing the fabrication side of things as one of the production engineers so nuclear experience would be useful. The role includes some small estimating duties.

What you'll need to succeed
You will need a technical or professional qualification such as a HNC or Prince2. You should ideally be time served and have experience working in this kind of role previously. You need to have commercial and financial acumen to succeed and good communication skills for meetings and liaisons. Strong IT skills would help and so would understanding of lean manufacturing systems. You will need experience working on the shop floor before progressing into a project/production engineer position to be considered for interview. You will need to have managed £2 million projects minimum and have experience with NEC3/4 projects as this is a project role rather than supervisory.

What you'll get in return
A competitive salary between £38000 - £41000 DOE. An early finish is provided on a Friday. You will get 33 days annual leave including bank holidays as well as being brought into the company pension scheme, being given life insurance and eventually health care after passing the qualifying period.
