Chesterfield Borough Council are looking to recruit a Structural Engineer who would be responsible for the efficient and effective delivery of a wide range of engineering functions for Chesterfield Borough Council and external clients.

The ideal candidate will be experienced and knowledgeable in Structural Engineering design work, Building Condition surveys, assessing remedial requirements and presenting solutions.

A comprehensive knowledge of construction related health and safety legislation and issues and the ability to apply safe systems of work to projects is essential.

The postholder will provide geotechnical engineering and advice to private developers and Council colleagues on site development, along with forensic engineering and the design and supervision of remedial works.

Applicants should have an Engineering Degree or HND in civil/ structural engineering and relevant experience. Experience of using CAD and Microsoft Office software is essential, experience of using TEDDS or Master Series is desirable.
