Technical Director or Principle Engineer Civil/Infrastructure Engineering
Salary: Technical Director £45k - £52k pa Principle Engineer £40k - £47k pa
Role Purpose
The Technical Director (Civil/Infrastructure Engineering) will be responsible for the technical quality of the Civil/Infrastructure Engineering team to deliver efficient, customer focused design solutions. Coordinate the quality and efficiency of the technical outputs alongside other design discipline inputs.
Accountabilities

- Work with the company’s multi-discipline workforce of Architects, Building Surveyors, Drainage Engineers, Highways Engineers, M&E Engineers, Quantity Surveyors and Structural Engineers.

- Sit as part of the company’s senior leadership team and actively contribute to the growth of the company (Technical Director)
- Ownership of significant/elements of design along with working on your own initiative whilst taking a leading discipline role within multi-discipline project teams.
- Provide highly visible leadership, management and direction in a manner consistent with the Align Property Partners (APP) core values (Technical Director)
- Work within the team of Engineers and Technicians to deliver efficient and cost effect projects to satisfy Client requirements whilst coordinating deliverables working collaboratively with other disciplines
- Liaise with all relevant statutory authorities
- Produce drainage (foul & surface water) and external works designs for co-ordination with other disciplines.
- Provide specific technical support to the multi-discipline team
- Visit multiple sites to attend meetings, carry out inspections and surveys as/when required.
- Manage and Complete project reports for clients and internal distribution.
- Contribute as appropriate to planning of project work and resourcing planning of the Infrastructure team
Desirable Skills / Qualifications:
- Qualified Civil/Structural Engineer
- Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or equivalent with 10 years post-qualification experience
- Experience managing project delivery and providing leadership within an engineering consultancy
- Skilled in preparing detailed designs and specifications using PDS and/or Civils 3D, AutoCAD, MicroDrainage/Flow, Tekla, etc
- Fully competent in the conceptual and detailed design of infrastructure projects, including earthworks, roads and drainage
- Working knowledge of relevant UK standards, adoptable standards and building regulations
- IT literacy with excellent working knowledge of Microsoft Office products for report writing/presentations/administration of tasks
